Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Physiotherapy Assistant/Plaster Technician (NHS AfC: Band 3) for the paediatric therapy team in Oxford. The role is a part-time, permanent position (19.5 hours per week) with duties including assisting with plaster cast removal and application and providing support under supervision of a physiotherapist.

Qualifications

• Good communication and organisation skills.
• Experience in similar paid or voluntary work (e.g., casting) is advantageous.
• Full training will be given.

Responsibilities

• Support clinical practitioners to deliver direct patient care in a children's plaster cast service, including pre- and post-op casting.
• Attend to patients, therapy colleagues, consultants and referrers in person or by phone, acting as a frontline representative of the service.
• Maintain a clean, tidy clinic environment and casting equipment.
