Job summary

Provide CIC is seeking a qualified occupational therapist to work within children's services focusing on helping children and young people maximise independence and participation. You will assess needs, develop and monitor individualized plans, and work with families, schools and health professionals in various community settings.

Qualifications

• Qualified occupational therapist
• Experience in assessing children's functional abilities and developing intervention plans
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
• Experience with safeguarding procedures

Responsibilities

• Assess children's functional abilities including self-care, motor skills, play, school participation, and sensory needs.
• Develop and implement individualised intervention plans based on assessments.
• Monitor progress and review outcomes through follow-up appointments.
• Maintain clinical records in line with NHS and professional standards.
• Contribute to Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNAs) and provide reports when required.
• Collaborate with physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, paediatricians, educational psychologists, nurses, and social care professionals.
• Participate in safeguarding procedures and identify concerns relating to a child's welfare.
• Manage a caseload under supervision of a senior occupational therapist.
