Responsibilities

• Clinically undertake mental health/risk assessment to inform care planning for CYP.
• Maintain accurate contemporaneous records in line with trust policies.
• Manage challenging/distressing clinical situations prioritising CYP and family needs.
• Support and mentor junior colleagues.
• Improve experience for CYP presenting to the Emergency Department.
• Foster multidisciplinary team collaboration in line with clinical governance.
• Critically analyse risk assessments to prioritise care and management.
• Provide consultation to other CYPS professionals.
• Lead the pathway from admission to discharge for CYP and contribute to staffing decisions.
• Deliver work-based learning for the Emergency Department team.
