Hours: 40 hours per week (09:00–18:00)

Start: ASAP (flexible for notice periods)

Contract: Permanent / Full-Time – Remote / Hybrid

Location: Remote within the UK, with optional access to a London-based office

? Culture Guru is delighted to be hiring for a visionary learning brand that’s revolutionising how children engage with literacy through immersive storytelling, gamified learning, and quirky humour. From bestselling books to mobile games, their mission is to make learning irresistibly fun – and they’re just getting started.

? At the heart of their next growth phase is a need for an educational leader who can bridge the worlds of curriculum design, game mechanics, and cognitive science. This is where you come in – as Pedagogy & Curriculum Lead, you’ll drive the academic rigour behind playful learning experiences that actually work.

? You’ll play a central role in shaping product strategy, guiding evidence-based design, and being the voice of pedagogical excellence across everything from literacy games to curriculum-aligned content.

? If you’re obsessed with words, love working at the intersection of creativity and rigour, and want to help shape the future of education – this is your dream role.

? Responsibilities of the role, but not limited to;

  • Championing world-class pedagogy across all learning products – from digital games to classroom resources
  • Designing impactful instructional strategies that blend literacy research with playful experiences
  • Working alongside game designers, data scientists, and content creators to build brilliant, evidence-backed experiences
  • Leading and managing the end-to-end curriculum vision for new and existing product lines
  • Acting as a research lead – liaising with academic advisors, planning efficacy studies, and publishing insights
  • Driving localisation and strategic alignment with new global curricula and learning frameworks
  • Representing the brand externally at conferences, school events, and education roundtables
  • Collaborating with schools and marketing teams to support educators and advocate for real classroom value

? Desirable attributes of the successful candidate

  • A solid background in education, ideally with deep knowledge in literacy, English instruction, or linguistics
  • Proven experience designing curriculum or instructional content (in schools, publishing, or EdTech)
  • Strategic thinking paired with practical know-how – you see the big picture and the small details
  • Passion for child-centred learning, creativity, and building joyful learning experiences
  • Confident communication skills – comfortable advocating for pedagogy both internally and externally
  • Curiosity, a collaborative mindset, and a belief that learning should never be boring

? Why you’ll love it here:

  • Be part of a values-led company on a mission to transform education
  • Fully remote role with travel to inspiring events and locations
  • 25 days’ annual leave + your birthday off
  • Private health care and wellbeing support
  • Summer hours (early Friday finishes from June to September)
  • Annual volunteering day to give back to a cause you care about
  • A creative, cross-disciplinary team of artists, writers, researchers, and dreamers

? Apply now through Culture Guru to shape the future of literacy with a team that believes learning should be loud, silly, and unforgettable.
