Job summary

Fennies Nurseries is recruiting a Pedagogical Coach to lead educational excellence across a designated region of nurseries. You will work with Nursery Managers, Regional Managers and the wider Education Team to embed our 4D Pedagogy and Curriculum, delivering exceptional learning experiences for children.

You will coach leaders, oversee safeguarding and regulatory compliance, monitor key KPIs, and drive continuous improvement across education and operations to ensure excellent outcomes across

Qualifications

  • Level 6 qualification in Early Years, Education, Early Childhood Studies or related discipline.
  • Extensive early years leadership, quality improvement, advisory or specialist educational experience.
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS, child development and pedagogy.
  • Proven coaching and mentoring track record with practitioners and leaders.
  • Experience supporting quality improvement and regulatory outcomes.
  • Understanding safeguarding and statutory requirements, and ability to manage priorities.

About The Role

As Pedagogical Coach, you will support educational excellence across a designated region of nurseries, working closely with Nursery Managers, Regional Managers, the Regional SENDCo and the wider Education Team. Through coaching, quality reviews, training and regular nursery visits, you will help practitioners and leaders strengthen their practice. This will include embedding our 4D Pedagogy and Curriculum, which will help deliver exceptional learning experiences for children.

You Will
  • Lead and support Nursery Managers to deliver exceptional care and education across multiple settings
  • Drive continuous improvement across education, compliance and operational performance
  • Oversee safeguarding, EYFS and regulatory compliance, ensuring robust processes in every nursery
  • Support Nursery Managers with Ofsted readiness and action planning to help achieve Exceptional outcomes
  • Monitor KPIs including occupancy, quality, team engagement and operational performance
  • Coach and mentor Nursery Managers to develop leadership capability and high-performing teams
  • Collaborate with education, operations and support teams to ensure consistency across nurseries
  • Build strong relationships with families, stakeholders and local communities
  • Champion Fennies’ mission and values across all nurseries in your region
What We’re Looking For

You're an experienced and inspiring leader who thrives on developing other leaders, driving performance and creating exceptional environments for children across multiple nurseries.

You Will Have
  • Level 6 qualification in Early Years, Education, Early Childhood Studies or a related discipline
  • Extensive experience within the early years sector, including experience in a leadership, quality improvement, advisory or specialist educational role
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS, child development and effective early years pedagogy
  • A successful track record of coaching, mentoring and developing practitioners and leaders
  • Experience supporting quality improvement and positive regulatory or inspection outcomes
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection and statutory requirements
  • Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to work independently across multiple nursery settings and manage competing priorities
  • A full UK driving licence
It Would Be Great If You Also Have
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) or an equivalent postgraduate qualification
  • A leadership, management or coaching qualification
  • Experience supporting nurseries through Ofsted inspections and quality assurance processes
  • Experience designing and delivering professional development programmes and training
  • Knowledge of current Ofsted frameworks and wider developments within the early years sector
  • For internal candidates, a strong understanding of the Fennies DNA and 4D Pedagogy and Curriculum
