We’re looking for an innovative and enthusiastic Peatland Practitioner with an experience of planning and overseeing the delivery of peatland restoration works at scale whilst working in partnership with a range of groups.
As Peatland Restoration Officer, you’ll use your knowledge of Peatland Restoration techniques to plan and oversee the delivery of a 3 year programme of restoration works across the Abergwesyn group of Commons. Working with colleagues, external partners and collaborators, as well as the local community, you'll be an advocate for Peatland management, promoting the importance of conserving and restoring our precious upland habitats.
Currently, there are many opportunities for change in how our peatland restoration programme is managed across South Wales, and you will be key to directing how the National Trust moves towards achieving higher standards of land management for nature and climate.
Internally, your job title will be Assistant Nature Conservation Adviser.
