Job summary

G's Group is seeking an Engineering Operative to support the Harvest Engineering Team in keeping critical operations running during peak season. You will maintain and repair harvesting and processing machinery, respond quickly to breakdowns, and help minimise downtime to meet production targets.

Working hours are peak-season heavy with long shifts; you’ll follow safety procedures, identify reliability improvements, and assist with fabrication and seasonal readiness tasks while sharing expertise

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining harvesting and processing machinery.
• Ability to fault-find and repair efficiently under pressure.
• Commitment to safety and engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and fault-find on harvesting and processing machinery to keep operations running efficiently.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns, prioritise work to minimise downtime.
• Carry out all work safely and to a high engineering standard, following procedures.
• Identify improvements to machinery reliability, safety and efficiency.
• Support engineering projects including fabrication and seasonal readiness work.
• Manage tools, spares, and parts for operational readiness.
• Share knowledge and support colleagues within the engineering team.
• Provide technical support to third-party or off-site operations when required.
