P.E. Technician

Required from September 2025

Salary: Surrey Grade S4 pro-rata rate

Hours: 18 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks)

Starting salary: £10,442 (pro-rated)

Plus 12 hours per week cover or LSA, starting salary £6,961 (pro-rated)

Total starting salary for 5 days per week, 39 weeks per year: £17,403

You will need to live fairly close to the school and be available for a face-to-face interview. It is likely that you will have completed a degree. Please refer to our website for more information.

We require an enthusiastic and conscientious person to work in our busy, successful P.E. department where teamwork is essential. The P.E. Technician will assist the department in practical and administrative tasks, including:

  1. Preparing and maintaining equipment/resources for lessons
  2. Placing orders
  3. Assisting in the promotion of sporting success and upcoming events
  4. Basic supervision of students in sports-oriented activities, if required
  5. Being part of the team

A sports background or coaching qualifications in various sports are preferable. With a degree, this role offers a great pathway into teaching, especially if combined with work as a cover supervisor or LSA.
