PE Teacher required for pupils with Severe and Profound Learning Difficulties

Mandeville is an outstanding primary school for pupils who have severe learning difficulties including autism and profound multiple learning difficulties. We are looking to appoint an inspirational and highly motivated PE teacher to join our experienced and dedicated team of staff.

At Mandeville we have a culture of innovative practice and are developing research based approaches. We want to influence and shape the future of special education. We would provide you with support, training and coaching to further develop your knowledge and skills in this exciting field of education.

The suitable candidate will plan and deliver creative and effective PE lessons to suit a range of abilities and learning needs. Every day presents a unique and exciting challenge in helping pupils to reach their full potential.

You need to be a reflective and responsive teacher who is committed to working with the children, their families and the community. You will need to have a partnership approach to working with professionals from education, health and social care and other special schools to ensure high quality provision for these pupils.

Classes are organised on an age, need and learning style basis.
