Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Female PE Teacher for a school in the Halesowen area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physical education, a passion for sports and fitness, and the ability to engage students in a variety of physical activities. You will play a crucial role in promoting a healthy lifestyle and physical fitness among students. Assistance with the completion of ECT may be available for the right candidate

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver comprehensive physical education lessons that cater to students of various ages and abilities.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that covers a range of physical activities, including team sports, individual sports, fitness training, and health education.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages all students to participate and achieve their personal best.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their physical and personal development.
  • Organise and supervise extracurricular sports programs, competitions, and events.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students during all physical activities and maintain equipment and facilities.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in physical education and incorporate them into your teaching.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support student growth and school initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • PGCE in Physical Education.
  • Proven experience teaching physical education at the primary/secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of various sports, fitness activities, and health education principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to lead active and healthy lifestyles.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current in the field of physical education.
