About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging PE lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, with a focus on female participation.
  • Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to a variety of sporting abilities and interests, ensuring all students are challenged and supported.
  • Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources, including fitness training, team sports, and individual activities, to enhance student learning.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual development.
  • Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level PE examinations, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria.
  • Contribute to the development of the PE curriculum and resources, with a focus on female participation.
  • Foster a love of sports and physical activity in students, encouraging them to develop their skills and confidence.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Contribute to extracurricular sports activities and school teams, particularly those focused on female participation.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Physical Education.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level PE examinations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate female students of all sporting abilities.
  • A passion for sports and a commitment to promoting female participation.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
