Job Description:

A progressive Independent School in Camden is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic PE Teacher for a permanent, full-time position commencing in September. The successful PE Teacher will promote physical fitness, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle among students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging PE lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, covering various sports and physical activities.
• Prepare students for practical assessments and examinations in physical education and sports science.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment encouraging participation and enjoyment in physical activity for all students.
• Assess and monitor student progress in PE, providing constructive feedback.
• Organize extracurricular sports clubs, teams, and school sports events.
• Promote physical health and well-being across the school community.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialization in Physical Education.
• Experience teaching PE at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4).
• Strong knowledge of sports, fitness activities, and health education principles.
• Excellent communication, motivational, and coaching skills.
• Ability to inspire students of varying athletic abilities and promote a positive attitude towards PE.
• Commitment to collaborative work and a supportive ethos within the PE department.
