Smart Teachers is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in East London (Redbridge borough), seeking a passionate and committed PE Teacher to join their successful department on a part-time (0.8) maternity cover basis from September 2025 until February 2026.
This role would suit a reflective, enthusiastic practitioner who is keen to join a collaborative and well-resourced PE department in a school that values professional development and teacher wellbeing.

The Role:
Teach PE across KS3 and KS4, including delivery of GCSE PE
0.8 timetable (4 days a week or flexible across 5 days)
Contribute to a curriculum aligned with a whole-school framework focused on ambition and personal development
Fixed-term maternity cover until February 2026
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold QTS (or equivalent UK teaching qualification)
Have experience teaching PE in secondary schools, including examination PE
Be a reflective practitioner committed to their own growth and the progress of their students
Be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive attitude
