Job description

Job Title: PE Teacher
Location: Wokingham, Berkshire
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £31,650 – £49,084 per annum (MPS/UPS)
Additional Allowances:

SEN Allowance: £2,679 per annum (QTS holders)

Extraneous Duties Allowance: £1,801 per annum

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Suitable for: Qualified Teachers (QTS), ECTs, and Unqualified Teachers with relevant experience

The Role:
We are working with a specialist setting in Wokingham that provides education for students aged 8–16 with additional needs, including Autism and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. The school is seeking a PE Teacher who can deliver a practical, inclusive curriculum that supports students’ physical and emotional development.

You’ll play a vital role in supporting learners through structured activities, tailored interventions, and building confidence in a positive and caring environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons tailored to diverse learning needs

Promote health, wellbeing, and teamwork through inclusive physical activity

Collaborate with teaching staff and support services to track progress and behaviour

Support enrichment opportunities and whole-school sporting events
