Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated PE Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive school community in September 2025.

Duties as a PE Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons that inspire pupils to enjoy sport, physical activity, and healthy lifestyles.

  • Teach across a range of sports and activities, catering to different abilities and age groups.

  • Organise and run extra-curricular clubs, teams, and competitions.

  • Monitor and assess pupils’ progress, providing constructive feedback to help them achieve their potential.

  • Promote positive behaviour, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

  • Contribute to whole-school events, sports days, and inter-school competitions.

  • Ensure all activities are conducted safely and in line with health and safety policies.

  • Liaise with colleagues, parents, and external coaches or organisations as required.

Ideal PE Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for PE and sport.

  • Experience teaching PE at KS3 / KS4.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • Ability to motivate and inspire pupils of all abilities.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
