Job description

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a PE Teacher to join our close-knit team at Jubilee School, part of Acorn Education.

About the Role

We are seeking a PE Teacher with a therapeutic approach to their teaching and learning. Previous experience of working in an SEMH or neurodiverse environment is desirable, with proven success in implementing specialist strategies to address difficulties in communication, social interaction, sensory regulation, and behaviour that challenges us. As a PE Teacher for primary and secondary students, you will also support swimming and other offsite activities.

You will be calm, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative teaching style, motivated by helping students reach their potential. You will collaborate with the SLT to maintain high standards of teaching and learning, lead on curriculum areas, and contribute to a lively environment. We seek individuals who share our vision to empower neurodiverse students to thrive and succeed in the world.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement the curriculum in line with the school’s philosophy and policies.
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that motivate learners and aim to raise attainment.
  • Use a variety of assessment methods to monitor progress and develop personalised learning approaches.
  • Support the development of students' communication, social, and regulation skills.
  • Provide personalised and adaptive tasks tailored to student needs.
