Job description

Tradewind Recruitment are actively seeking experienced PE teachers for schools across Camden, Islington, Haringey and Enfield. These include mainstream secondary schools, specialist SEN schools, secondary SEN units, Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) and SEMH schools.

As a PE Supply Teacher you will be responsible for the below:

  • Delivering pre-planned PE lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 to students of varying abilities
  • Following existing curriculum content including GCSE PE and OCR Cambridge Nationals in Sports Studies
  • Adapting practical and theoretical PE content to meet individual student needs and abilities
  • Supporting exam preparation and coursework requirements for GCSE and Cambridge Nationals students
  • Working collaboratively with permanent teaching assistants and PE department staff
  • Maintaining continuity of student progress in both practical skills and theoretical knowledge

To join us and be successful in this role you will ideally need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven experience delivering GCSE PE to Key Stage 4 students
  • Demonstrable experience teaching OCR Cambridge Nationals in Sports Studies
  • Strong subject knowledge across practical PE skills and sports science theory
  • Experience working across diverse educational settings including SEN environments
  • Current Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (where applicable) and satisfactory professional references
  • Complete CV detailing employment history for the previous 10 years where available
  • Valid right to work in the UK
