Job description

Flourish Education is seeking a PE Teacher to join an Ofsted-rated GOOD secondary school in Wolverhampton after Easter, continuing until the summer term. The school is known for its inclusive, supportive environment and commitment to high-quality education. With excellent sports facilities and a strong emphasis on physical education, this is an exciting opportunity for a Secondary Teacher passionate about inspiring students in PE.

The Role:

As a PE Teacher at this secondary school, you will:

  • Deliver engaging PE lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4).
  • Plan, mark, and assess students' work in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Promote teamwork, resilience, and healthy competition within lessons and extracurricular sports activities.
  • Manage student behaviour effectively, fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the PE department to enhance the school s sporting achievements.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT) status.
  • Strong subject knowledge of PE and experience teaching across KS3 and KS4.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Excellent behaviour management and the ability to build rapport with students.
  • A commitment to promoting physical education and well-being in a secondary school setting.

Working as a PE Teacher for Flourish Education also offers you:

  • £160 - £225 per day, equating to £31,200 - £43,875 per annum (based on full-time work).
  • The option of PAYE or Umbrella pay.
  • Holiday Pay for PAYE candidates, this is accrued at 12.07% of your day rate.

  • Free KCSIE-compliant Safeguarding and Prevent Duty Training, including FGM and abuse modules.

This PE Teacher role is based in Wolverhampton, easily commutable from Bilston, Willenhall, Wednesfield, Dudley, West Bromwich, and Tipton. The school has excellent transport links and on-site parking available.
