Reeson Education are supporting a secondary school in Sunbury-On-Thames, Surrey who require a PE Teacher. This is a full-time role from September 2025. The successful candidate should have the capability to teach GCSE PE, creating challenging and thought-provoking lessons, with an emphasis on creativity and collaboration.

Job Description – PE Teacher

The successful PE Teacher will be responsible for providing a friendly, stimulating, and inclusive environment in which every student can develop academically, socially and personally.

  • Ensure that students are taught in line with the most up to date examination specification.
  • Adhere to the departmental schemes of work.
  • Keep records of student's attendance in lessons via SIMS.
  • Follow the guidelines for high quality teaching as defined in the Staff Handbook.
  • Setting, marking, and assessing work as stated in the staff handbook.
  • Use of resources; checking of student files; learning support; use of ICT; health and safety procedures.
  • Classroom management as defined in the school's classroom management and behaviour policy.
  • Attend in-service training and classroom observation plus feedback sessions as requested by the Head of Department.
The Candidate – PE Teacher

This is a great opportunity for a PE Teacher to join a highly successful school. Applications are welcomed from ECTs or more experienced teachers.

PE Teacher - key accountabilities include:

  • Teach PE KS3/4
  • To assist in the development of programmes of study, materials and schemes of work and to participate in professional development programmes
  • To follow school policies and procedures in respect of the duties of a classroom teacher and form tutor
  • To perform the duties of a Form Tutor (as required)
  • To contribute to the cultural and community life of the school, through leadership of agreed activities within the extra-curricular programme
