PE Teacher in Durham

Location: Durham
Start Date: September 2025
Pay: £153.84 – £251.71 per day (MPS/UPS)

Teaching Personnel is seeking a qualified and motivated PE Teacher to join a secondary school in Durham from September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive department where physical education is valued and well-resourced.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver a broad and engaging PE curriculum to students in Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Create an inclusive and positive environment that encourages participation and development in sport
  • Contribute to departmental planning and assessment
  • Support the wider school community through involvement in extracurricular activities and school sports events

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Proven ability to manage behaviour effectively and maintain high standards in the classroom
  • Enthusiasm for promoting physical fitness and student well-being
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
