Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic PE Teacher to join a secondary school in Lymington from September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for an inspiring educator who is passionate about physical education, health, and wellbeing, and committed to helping students develop their skills and confidence in sports and fitness.

As a PE Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging, and active lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will promote a positive attitude towards fitness and well-being while encouraging participation in both individual and team sports. You will be expected to contribute to the school's extracurricular sports programme and help students prepare for GCSE PE assessments, where applicable.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering engaging and structured PE lessons that cater to a range of abilities
• Encouraging students to develop their physical skills, teamwork, and confidence
• Planning and leading a variety of sports and physical activities
• Promoting health and fitness awareness in line with the national curriculum
• Assessing and tracking student progress, providing constructive feedback
• Organising and supporting extracurricular sports clubs and competitions
• Ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all students
• Collaborating with colleagues to develop and enhance the school's sports curriculum

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
• Have experience teaching PE at secondary level (KS3 & KS4)
• Demonstrate a strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for PE
• Be passionate about sports, health, and fitness and able to inspire students
• Have strong classroom management and communication skills
• Hold a current enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
