PE Teacher
Location: Hull
Salary: M1 to UPS3 (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

Are you a passionate PE Teacher with a love for sport and a drive to inspire students to lead active, healthy lives?

GSL Education are seeking enthusiastic and motivated PE Teachers to work in secondary schools across Hull, starting from September 2025. Whether you're looking for a full-time, part-time, day-to-day supply, or long-term opportunity, we d love to support your teaching journey.

As a PE Teacher, you ll be delivering a broad and inclusive PE curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, fostering skills in a range of sports, fitness, and physical health. You will support students in developing their confidence, resilience, and personal achievement through sport and exercise.

To be a successful Physical Education (PE) Teacher, what you have to do:

  • Teach PE across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5
  • Plan and deliver a diverse PE curriculum, including team and individual sports
  • Promote healthy lifestyles, physical fitness, and student wellbeing
  • Organise and supervise extracurricular sports activities and school competitions
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback and support for improvement
  • Create an inclusive and encouraging environment for all students
  • Work collaboratively with other staff to enhance whole-school initiatives

Teacher of PE Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised qualification
  • A degree in Physical Education or a related field
  • Previous experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting
  • Sports coaching experience in UK schools or with young people is desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
