Supply Desk is assisting a welcoming secondary school in Rickmansworth to recruit a PE Teacher who will inspire students to develop a lifelong passion for physical activity, health, fitness, teamwork and sporting achievement while building confidence. Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
• Has a degree in PE, Sports Science, or a related subject area.
• Strong curriculum knowledge and a passion for the subject.
• Can build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging PE lessons that inspire students to develop a passion for sport, physical activity and healthy lifestyles.
• Use a variety of teaching approaches to support learners of differing abilities and learning styles.
• Track student achievement and implement strategies to maximise progress and attainment.
• Create a positive environment where students feel motivated, supported and confident to participate and develop their skills.
• Work closely with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to the ongoing success of the PE department.
• Prepare students for examinations and help them develop strong theoretical knowledge, practical skills and health understanding.
• Promote high standards of behaviour, effort, teamwork and participation across all lessons.
