Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment Ltd is recruiting on behalf of Eastlea Community School in London for a Teacher of Physical Education (PE) on a one-year maternity cover contract.

Teacher of Physical Education (PE)

Location: Eastlea Community School, London, E16 4NPSalary: £40,317 - £52,300 per annum (M1-M6, depending on experience)Contract: Full-time, Fixed Term - 1 Year (Maternity Cover)

We are currently recruiting on behalf of Eastlea Community School for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Physical Education (PE) to join their team on a one‑year maternity cover contract.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging and inclusive PE lessons, supporting students to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across relevant key stages.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing appropriate challenge and support.
• Promote positive attitudes towards sport, physical activity and healthy lifestyles.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour, safeguarding and student wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and the wider school community.
• Contribute to the wider life and development of the school.
