Overview

Smart Teachers is seeking an energetic and motivated PE Teacher to join a supportive and ambitious secondary school in East London from January 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate practitioner to inspire students' physical development, teamwork, and lifelong engagement with sport and healthy lifestyles.

The Role

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality PE lessons across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to teach KS5 or BTEC Sport for suitably experienced teachers. You will contribute to both the curriculum and the wider sporting life of the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning and delivering engaging and inclusive PE lessons
  • Teaching a broad range of activities including team sports, individual disciplines, and fitness
  • Assessing student progress and promoting participation and achievement
  • Supporting extracurricular sport and enrichment activities
  • Maintaining high standards of behaviour, safety, and inclusion
