Qualifications

Location: Wiltshire
Salary: MPS. Paid to scale
Contract: Full-time and Part-time positions available, Permanent/Temporary

About the Opportunity

Protocol Education is working with a wide range of schools throughout Wiltshire, seeking passionate and dedicated PE Teachers. You will bring a love of physical activity and education to the schools and foster an inclusive, engaging environment. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire young minds and share your love for PE in vibrant and supportive school communities.

The Role

As a PE Teacher, you will deliver engaging and high-quality lessons to students aged 11-16 (and potentially 16-18 for A-Level). Lessons may include both practical and theoretical components. You will contribute to students' academic and personal growth while upholding each school’s values and ethos.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan, prepare, and deliver dynamic PE lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  2. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.
  3. Manage classroom behavior to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues to develop schemes of work and share best practices.
  5. Contribute to extracurricular activities, such as fixtures and lunch sport activities.
About You

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a strong passion for PE and education. The following qualifications and attributes are sought:

  1. Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT) status is preferred. Schools will also consider strong subject specialists with a relevant degree in PE or a related field, even if unqualified.
  2. Experience: Experience teaching PE at secondary level is desirable but not essential for ECTs or unqualified teachers. Qualified, experienced coaches are encouraged to apply.
  3. Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
  4. Attributes: Creative, adaptable, and committed to fostering a love of learning in students.
  5. Desirable: Knowledge of GCSE and A-Level English curricula and assessment frameworks.
