GSL Education are recruiting a committed and energetic individual for a PE Support role in a vibrant school environment in Doncaster. This position is perfect for individuals who enjoy working with young people and have a keen interest in physical education, sports, and student wellbeing.

Role Overview:
As a PE Support, you will assist in delivering high-quality physical education and activity sessions across a range of age groups and abilities. You will support the PE department in lesson planning, supervision, and student engagement while promoting an active and healthy lifestyle within the school community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in delivering engaging PE lessons across the curriculum.
• Provide one-to-one or group support for students, including those with additional needs.
• Help manage sports equipment and prepare activity spaces for lessons.
• Support extracurricular sports clubs, events, and inter-school competitions.
• Encourage positive attitudes towards fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
• Monitor student participation, effort, and progress.
• Act as a positive role model and promote inclusion through physical activity.

Job Requirements:

• A background in sport, coaching, fitness, or physical education is essential.
• Previous experience working with children or young people in a school or sports setting.
• Strong interpersonal and motivational skills, with a positive and proactive attitude.
• Understanding of safeguarding and promoting student welfare in schools.
• Patience, adaptability, and confidence when engaging students of varied abilities.
• Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
