Full-Time PE & Science Teacher – Secondary School in Farnborough, Hampshire!

GSL Education are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a passionate and versatile PE & Science Teacher to join a forward-thinking and supportive secondary school in Farnborough, Hampshire. This full-time position is set to begin in September 2025, with the potential for a permanent or fixed-term contract following a successful probation period. The school welcomes applications from both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators. The annual salary for this role ranges from £30,000 to £50,000, depending on experience.

Responsibilities of a PE & Science Teacher:

• Deliver dynamic and engaging lessons in both Physical Education (PE) and Science, tailored to inspire and challenge students.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that promote physical well-being, scientific inquiry, and academic excellence.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom and sports environment that encourages participation and confidence.
• Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to a vibrant and supportive school culture.
• Participate in extracurricular activities, sports events, and science-related initiatives.
• Promote the importance of health, fitness, scientific literacy, and critical thinking in students’ academic and personal growth.
• Stay current with curriculum developments and best practices in both PE and Science education.

Required Qualifications for a PE & Science Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A strong passion for both Physical Education and Science.
• Experience teaching PE and/or Science at the secondary level (ECTs are encouraged to apply).
• Ability to deliver engaging and innovative lessons that inspire students.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• A commitment to fostering student well-being, creativity, and achievement.
• A collaborative and proactive approach to working with colleagues.
• An up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years with no unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
