Job summary

Michael Page seeks an Investment Analyst to support the Investment Director across Real Estate deals, valuing opportunities, underwriting, and preparing IC materials. You will work on direct Real Estate investments spanning UK and Europe, including Data Centres and opportunistic opportunities, with a fast-paced deal flow.

Solid STEM or Real Estate grounding and strong Excel-driven financial modelling are essential, with presentation and communication skills to influence investment decisions.

Supporting the Investment Director & wider team, modelling all Value-Add opportunities, direct Real Estate (all-sectors), Operational RE / Op-Co's, Data Centres and in due course Infra / Renewables. Critical role modelling all acquisitions, IC materials & pitch decks with a voice in the room at IC.

Our client is a specialist PE Real Estate investor with c.25 years track-record delivering Value-Add & Opportunistic returns across all asset classes including Commercial, Alternatives & Living, Land / Strat Land & Development. They are now in an exciting period of growth, and this is a newly created role as they ramp-up transaction activity in the UK & Europe for a €1.5bn fund.

Description

• The PE Real Estate Investment Analyst will be actively involved in all aspects of deals & execution, including underwriting, negotiating third party financings, deal structuring and feeding into strategic asset management initiatives.
• Support the Investment Director and team in screening and analysing new investment opportunities, financial analysis and excel modelling, managing advisors and due diligence work streams.
• Support the production of the investment committee materials and undertake quarterly reporting and assist with investment performance monitoring.
• Work across all asset classes, evaluating opportunities at the corporate and asset level, equity & debt positions and Op-Co businesses.

Profile

• Solid academics in a STEM or Real Estate Degree (Built Environment / Real Estate / RE Finance or related highly desirable)
• Prior exposure to analysing direct Real Estate deals in the UK (as a minimum) is a must.
• Ideally prior experience as an Analyst within a real estate private equity firm, real estate investment bank or real estate investment /asset manager.
• Demonstrable ability in advanced analytical excel work including creating, calculating and interpreting complex financial models across many different deal structures.
• Ability to work and enjoy a fast-paced environment with significant deal flow.
• Well-developed presentation and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently and with a tight transactional team or part of a selected project team.
