Job summary

Lift Plumberow is seeking a PE Learning Support Assistant to support pupils' physical development, wellbeing and engagement across the school. This part-time, fixed-term post runs until August 2027 with a 20-hour week over 38 weeks per year, starting September 2026.

You will assist with PE delivery, promote teamwork and help create inclusive sporting opportunities for all pupils. Based in Hockley, the school emphasises a warm, inclusive community and strong sporting achievements.

• Help organise and support sporting events, clubs, tournaments and competitions
• Promote positive relationships and consistently apply the school's behaviour policy
• Support pupils' social, emotional and physical wellbeing
• Assist with the safe use and organisation of PE and sports equipment

Lift Plumberow is looking for a PE Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated and friendly team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about sport, physical activity and supporting children's development. We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and positive individual who can contribute to our warm and inclusive school community while helping pupils develop confidence, teamwork and a love of physical activity.

Lift Plumberow is a vibrant and high achieving three form entry primary school in the heart of Hockley, educating around 650 pupils from Reception to Year 6. We are committed to giving every child the best possible start through engaging teaching and a broad, balanced curriculum that promotes curiosity and active learning.

About the role
