Full-Time PE Cover Supervisor
Location: North Derbyshire Chesterfield
Start Date: As soon as possible
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Full-Time (Ongoing)
Setting: Secondary School

A dynamic and supportive secondary school in South Derbyshire is seeking an experienced and confident PE Cover Supervisor to join their team immediately.

This is a full-time role, ideal for someone with a strong background in Physical Education and proven experience as a Cover Supervisor. You will be responsible for delivering pre-set PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, maintaining high standards of classroom behaviour, and ensuring students remain engaged in their learning.

The Role:

• Deliver PE lessons and cover general classes when required

• Supervise whole classes in the absence of the class teacher

• Support the delivery of the PE curriculum at KS3 and KS4 level

• Manage classroom behaviour confidently and effectively

• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

• Has prior experience working as a Cover Supervisor in a secondary school

• Has a background in PE or sports coaching, and is confident delivering PE lessons

• Is a strong classroom presence with excellent behaviour management skills

• Is reliable, adaptable, and able to hit the ground running

• Holds an enhanced DBS on the update service or is willing to apply for one
