Prospero Teaching is working with a Good Ofsted-rated Secondary School located in Gosport, Hampshire, seeking a PE Cover Supervisor.

Cover Supervisors are suitably trained school staff who supervise pupils carrying out pre-prepared exercises when teaching staff are on short-term absence. The main role of a Cover Supervisor is to manage a classroom, ensuring that students are safe and stay on task with the assigned work.

This role will include the delivery of Physical Education and general cover across the school where required. It is an excellent opportunity for graduates and/or aspiring PE teachers.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS:

• Location: Gosport, Hampshire
• Duration / Likely Duration: Ongoing
• End date (if applicable): N/A
• Contract type: Temporary/Permanent
• Minimum rate of pay: From £ per day
• Hours: 8:15 am – 3:30 pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience working in a UK school or with young people.
• Sports coaching qualifications and/or sports-related degree.
• Up-to-date safeguarding training issued within the last year (training available if required).

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold the right to work in the UK.
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
• Provide two professional child-related references.
