PE Assistant - Dr Challoner's Grammar School

Location: Amersham

Term time only: Yes

Salary Type: £23,829 pa fte

Salary details: £20,653 pa pro rata (actual salary for 39 weeks)

Contract type: Fixed Term

About us

Dr Challoner's is a grammar school for boys with 1368 students, of which 452 are in our co-educational Sixth Form. We have a long history of providing superb education to our students and in 2024 Ofsted confirmed their 2019 judgement of Outstanding. All our support staff play a key role in enabling that to happen, by contributing to the forward thinking and innovative culture of the school.

This post offers a unique opportunity for a recent graduate or school leaver, or anyone with a strong interest in sport, to gain experience working with young people.

Applicants will be expected to assist with teaching and coaching as well as undertaking administrative and other duties.

Sport plays a central role in the life of the school, and Challoner's sportsmen and women compete at the highest level both locally and nationally.

About you

You should be educated to at least A level standard or equivalent, have experience in a position of responsibility, either at work, school or a club environment, and be an effective communicator and team player.

Experience of working with young people in a sporting context, and an interest in hockey, netball or rugby would be an advantage.
