About us and the role

At Avanti Fields, we are seeking a committed PE and Yoga Teacher to teach secondary core PE and Yoga who shares our passion for both education and well-being.

Our staff are dedicated to improving outcomes and opportunities for every student, and we pride ourselves on our collaborative, values-driven environment.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to inspire students through a combination of core physical education and yoga, helping them build confidence, resilience, and mindfulness.

Avanti Fields School is an all-through, faith-designated (Hindu) state school which welcomed the first intake of Year 7 students in September 2018, and first intake of Nursery and Reception students in September 2022. The school is rapidly expanding and will grow year by year to a full cohort of 1,320. This is an exciting time to join the school as it continues its journey to outstanding.

What will you do?

  • Deliver the curriculum, prepare teaching materials, and ensure high standards of literacy and student progress.
  • Establish a safe and stimulating environment, manage classroom behavior, and promote student well-being.
  • Plan and deliver high-quality core PE and Yoga lessons that are inclusive, engaging, and support the progress and well-being of all pupils.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, participate in professional development, and communicate effectively with parents and external bodies.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of students, ensuring compliance with school policies and protocols.
