Job summary

ACS Automotive Recruitment is seeking a PDI Technician for a busy Tonbridge workshop. The role focuses on Pre-Delivery Inspections on both new and used vehicles within a professional dealership environment.

Ideal candidates hold Level 2 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification, have relevant PDI/vehicular experience, and possess a Full UK Driving Licence. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with overtime opportunities and ongoing manufacturer training.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification is essential.
• Experience as a PDI Technician or Vehicle Technician is desirable.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on new and used vehicles.
• Prepare vehicles to the highest standards prior to customer handover.
• Complete servicing, safety inspections and minor mechanical repairs.
• Identify and report faults or defects.
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to manufacturer standards.
• Complete all job cards and workshop documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Work closely with the workshop team to ensure timely preparation.

Monday to Friday (8:30am - 5:30pm, 1 Hour Lunch) | 1 in 4 Saturdays (8:30am - 12:30pm) Paid as Overtime

Our client, a successful main dealership based in Tonbridge, is looking to recruit a PDI Technician to join their busy workshop.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Level 2 qualified Technician looking to work in a professional dealership environment, carrying out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on both new and used vehicles. You'll be joining a supportive workshop with excellent long-term career prospects and manufacturer training opportunities.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Carry out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on new and used vehicles.
• Prepare vehicles to the highest standards prior to customer handover.
• Complete servicing, safety inspections and minor mechanical repairs where required.
• Identify and report any faults or defects.
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to manufacturer standards.

Your Background & Skills

• Level 2 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
• Previous experience as a PDI Technician or Vehicle Technician is desirable.
• Good mechanical knowledge with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop environment.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
