Lookers is hiring a Prep Technician to join their Stockport Renault team. In this vital role within the fast-paced workshop, you'll conduct pre-delivery inspections on vehicles under the guidance of experienced technicians, ensuring the delivery of high-quality service. Ideal candidates will possess NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, with further opportunities for training in vehicle electrics and further career progression within the company.

Salary: OTE £40,000 (including £25,000 - £34,000 basic depending on experience and qualifications, plus bonus)

Hours: (42) Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm, and Saturday mornings on a rota.

Our Aftersales Manager at Stockport Renault is recruiting for a Prep Technician to join their friendly team, working in a fast-paced workshop environment. Whilst working alongside experienced technicians, you will play a vital role in the team, carrying out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles. Our Aftersales Manager will provide on-going support to ensure you have the tools needed to succeed in your role. Our technicians play a vital role within our Service team by delivering first class customer service every time. We want you to be part of our success. If you have a level 3 NVQ in light vehicle maintenance and repair (or equivalent), whether you work in a dealer group or independent garage, we want to hear from you! If you also have an MOT Tester qualification this would be extremely advantageous.

Responsibilities

Carrying out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles including…

• Fitting number plates
• Carrying out checks in line with manufacturers guidelines
• Fitting any additional accessories requested by the customer
• Vehicle health check and report any further work which may be required

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, motor industry experience, and a full and valid UK driving licence. You’ll be self-motivated whilst being able to support your team, ambitious and eager to learn, and are able to work to and maintain the highest of standards to all vehicles that take a spin through our doors.
