Job summary

Holt-Recruitment is seeking a PDI Technician for a busy workshop in Preston. The role offers £33,000–£35,000 base salary plus bonus and overtime, full-time and permanent employment, and real opportunities for development.

As a PDI Technician, you will prepare vehicles to the highest standards, perform inspections, servicing and repairs, and record diagnostics and parts used. You will work with a professional team in a modern, well-equipped workshop.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician or PDI Technician.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles.
• Complete servicing, maintenance, and repair work.
• Ensure all work is carried out to manufacturer standards.
• Accurately record diagnostics, repairs, and parts used.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop.
• Work closely with the wider workshop team to meet deadlines.
• Deliver high-quality workmanship on every vehicle.

The Role

As a PDI Technician, you'll be responsible for preparing new and used vehicles to the highest standards before they reach the customer. From inspections and servicing to repairs and final quality checks, you'll play a key role in ensuring every vehicle leaves the workshop in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities
