Job summary

Holt-Recruitment is assisting a busy automotive workshop in Macclesfield to recruit a PDI Technician. You will prepare vehicles to the highest standards, performing inspections, servicing and final quality checks before delivery.

The role is full-time and permanent. You should have NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, at least 2 years' experience, a full UK driving licence and a keen eye for detail. Salary £35,000–£37,000 plus bonus and overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician or PDI Technician.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles.
• Complete servicing, maintenance, and repair work.
• Ensure all work is carried out to manufacturer standards.
• Accurately record diagnostics, repairs, and parts used.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop.
• Work closely with the workshop team to meet deadlines.
• Deliver high-quality workmanship on every vehicle.

The Role

As a PDI Technician, you'll be responsible for preparing new and used vehicles to the highest standards before they reach the customer. From inspections and servicing to repairs and final quality checks, you'll play a key role in ensuring every vehicle leaves the workshop in excellent condition.
