A well-established main dealer in Manchester is seeking a PDI Technician / Prep Tech. This position offers a starting salary of £20,600 with the potential to rise to £36,000 OTE based on experience. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a Level 3 NVQ or IMI in Vehicle Repair/Maintenance, with opportunities for career progression and additional training.

Richard Abson Group are looking to find an experienced PDI or Prep Technician in the Manchester area.

The business is a well-established and reputable main dealer, working with prestige brands. Looking to employ a PDI Technician / Prep Tech with enthusiasm, experience with vehicle maintenance and strong communication skills. You will have opportunities to progress your career, attend additional training courses and gain/build upon your current skills.

Your main duties and responsibilities as PDI Technician / Prep Tech will include:

  • Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tyre rotations, pre-delivery checks and general maintenance/repairs
  • Inspect vehicles according to the manufacturers and business requirements
  • Conduct necessary repairs and take vehicles for test drives to verify soundness
  • Maintain legible and accurate paperwork for both the customer and for the records
  • Clean and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety
  • Assist other Technician's when required

Requirements: Level 3 NVQ or IMI in Vehicle Repair / Maintenance.


Working hours and salary: The dealership is offering a competitive salary, based on experience, qualifications and accreditations. Working Monday to Friday As well as Saturday Mornings from (rota'ed).
