Job description

My client has a great opportunity for a PDI Vehicle Technician to join our workshop prep team. As an approved Dealer, you will work on the full range of vehicles, develop your skills using the latest service technology and receive bespoke training at the UK Training Academy.

YOUR ROLE.

As the PDI Vehicle Technician you will be responsible for carrying out the final installations and checks before handing over vehicles to our customers. Your work will be of the highest standard and workmanship, using the equipment provided. You will customise each vehicle to make the customer feel special and valued.

The main duties of the role include:

  1. Carry out vehicle inspections on all new and used vehicles
  2. Vehicle maintenance repairs, such as brake pads, servicing, programming, and fitting of accessories as well as any other necessary minor work
  3. Reporting any vehicle defects
  4. Road test vehicles where appropriate
  5. To thoroughly document all work performed on each vehicle ensuring all paperwork is completed and submitted promptly

YOUR PROFILE.

  1. IMI Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance qualification or equivalent
  2. IMI Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Maintenance qualification at Level 2 + or equivalent
  3. Proven experience working at a main dealer manufacturer or national or independent service/repair retailers (preferable with BMW or MINI expertise)
  4. Valid, and clean manual UK Driving Licence and must be eligible to work in the UK

SALARY AND HOURS.
Basic Salary: £27,500 OTE £32,000 + per annum
Working hours, Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm.
