Job description

PDI Engineer Plant Hire - East Staffordshire Up to GBP36,000

Working out of our client's Marchington Depot, this role involves all aspects of plant machine preparation, delivery quality, and ensuring machines dispatched meet the correct specifications.

The responsibilities include preparing machines for dispatch (PDI), fitting attachments/kits, recording machine movements, setting up machines via computer, and maintaining a clean and presentable depot environment.

PDI Engineer Responsibilities
  • Ensure PDI work is completed to the required standard and timeframe on all construction plant equipment
  • Perform minor warranty and retail repairs on machines
  • Fit attachments/kits to machines
  • Book machine stock in and out
  • Update group spreadsheets on machine progress to assist sales in planning transport
  • Move machines from the depot to the compound
  • Prepare machines for transport collection
  • Support apprentices with training and development
  • Maintain a clean and organized depot environment
