Job description

PDI Engineer Plant Hire - East Staffordshire Up to £36,000

Working out of our client's Marchington Depot, this role involves responsibility for all aspects of plant machine preparation, delivery quality, and ensuring dispatched machines meet the correct specifications.

The role includes preparing machines for dispatch (PDI), fitting attachments/kits, recording machine movements, setting up machines via computer, and maintaining a clean and presentable depot.

PDI Engineer Responsibilities
  • Ensure PDI work is completed to standard and within timeframes on all construction plant equipment
  • Perform minor warranty and retail repairs
  • Fit attachments/kits to machines
  • Manage machine stock bookings
  • Update spreadsheets on machine progress for planning
  • Move machines within the depot
  • Prepare machines for transport collection
  • Support apprentices' training and development
  • Maintain depot cleanliness and presentation
