Job summary

CEVA Logistics in the UK is seeking a PDC Technician to support vehicle preparation within our Chipping Warden workshop. You will perform vehicle health checks, pre-delivery inspections and minor repairs in line with manufacturer specs, ensuring every vehicle meets quality and safety standards.

Working in a small team, you will use a tablet to complete digital check sheets, record findings, and collaborate with colleagues to keep the workflow moving efficiently while maintaining a clean, safe

• Must hold City & Guilds Levels 1 and 2 in Motor Vehicle Studies and a Higher BTEC or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience in a vehicle workshop environment is required.
• Comfortable using tablets to complete check sheets and maintain records.

YOUR ROLE

Our Technical Services team in Chipping Warden is looking for a PDC (Pre-Delivery Check) Technician to support vehicle preparation within our workshop.

Working as part of a small team, you will carry out vehicle checks, inspections and minor repairs in line with manufacturer specifications, ensuring every vehicle meets the required quality and safety standards.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

You will carry out vehicle health checks, pre-delivery inspections and PDC checks as part of our workshop flow line, following manufacturer guidelines and vehicle preparation check sheets.

Using our AssetCare system on a tablet, you will complete digital check sheets and accurately record inspection findings, work completed and any parts required. You will identify vehicle defects or signs of potential mechanical failure, reporting issues to the Damage Controller where repairs cannot be completed on site.

You will also carry out minor repairs, servicing and tyre replacements when required, working closely with fellow Technicians and Garage Support colleagues to keep vehicles moving efficiently through the workshop.

Throughout your work, you will maintain a clean and organised workspace, look after tools and equipment, report faults or shortages and follow site health and safety procedures.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You will hold City & Guilds Levels 1 and 2 in Motor Vehicle Studies, a Higher BTEC or an equivalent qualification, with relevant experience in a vehicle workshop environment.

You will have a good understanding of vehicle preparation and quality standards, with attention to detail and a practical approach to identifying and resolving issues. You will also be comfortable using a tablet to complete check sheets and maintain accurate records.

You will be able to organise your workload, work independently and collaborate with colleagues across the workshop and wider business. Manufacturer training would be an advantage.
