Job description

Joining us as a Boots Healthcare Logistics Driver (HLD) is a great opportunity. You'll deliver first-class care to those in the community who might otherwise never visit a Boots store. You'll be part of a unique service that prioritises the patient behind the parcel; this role offers much more than other delivery roles.

About the role

You will report to the Healthcare Logistics Manager and will provide outstanding customer care by delivering and collecting medicines from Care Homes, patients at home, GP surgeries, and other Boots stores within an allocated route time. You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while following safety protocols. Boots will provide a maintained vehicle, training, and equipment, including a handheld device with pre-planned routing and satellite navigation.

Additionally, you will:

  • Build relationships with store teams, care homes, and GP surgeries.
  • Follow standards, operating policies, and health and safety procedures.
  • Drive safely and legally.
  • Maintain and keep your vehicle clean, reporting any damage or issues.
  • Provide feedback on customer comments and concerns, and suggest operational improvements.
