Job summary

Durham County Council is seeking an experienced PCV driver with knowledge of County Durham to join our Fleet Section. The role involves driving for adult day care, home-to-school and demand responsive Link2 and Access Bus services from Morrison Busty and Chilton depots.

You will drive safely and provide reliable, punctual service with outstanding customer care. DBS checks, a driving assessment, and safeguarding commitments are part of pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• Current PCV licence and CPC required.
• Knowledge of passenger transport legislation and regulations.
• Significant relevant experience driving passenger carrying vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Drive safely and competently for adult day care, home-to-school and demand responsive services.
• Provide a reliable and punctual service with a high level of customer care.
• Participate in pre-employment checks including driving assessment and DBS disclosure as required.

Education

Current Passenger Carrying Vehicle (PCV) Licence

Current Driver CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence)
