Job summary

Arriva Shrewsbury depot is seeking a PCV Bus Driver to join our team. Earn £14.45 per hour, Monday to Saturday with no Sunday shifts, and play a vital role in getting commuters, shoppers, and students where they need to go.

You will meet familiar faces, build relationships, and be the friendly face of Arriva in the community. Overtime opportunities, CPC training, and clear career progression support your development.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Hold a PCV licence (if you don't, apply to Trainee role for training).
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Able to pass a drug and alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Drive PCV bus routes between local destinations.
• Engage with customers and assist passengers on/off the bus.
• Maintain safety and punctuality while delivering reliable service.

PCV Bus Driver

£14.45 per hour

As a Bus Driver, you will get to know the familiar faces on your routes, build relationships and even be the highlight of someone's day.

Pay Rate: £14.45 per hour (Monday to Saturday)

• No Sunday working

Pay rates reviewed via frequent pay negotiations.

Hours of Work:

• 5 out of 6 day rotating shift patterns, (Monday to Saturday) planned up to 6-8 weeks in advance so you can plan around shifts.
• Mornings can start from 05:30, and evenings end at around 21:00.
• Our rotas are constructed with our driving team in mind. These are split into main types of work (local, interurban and Park & Ride), though there can be a mix of each type.
• Full and part-time options are available, and the full-time rotas consist of mixed 4 and 5-day weeks, with 1 in 4 weekends off - with every other of these consisting of 5 days (perfect for getting away).
• A mix of early finishes, later starts, short days and long days exist, and every effort is made to finish for a weekend on an early and start back on a later start to maximise rest periods.
• We cannot offer fixed early, afternoon or evenings separately.
• Overtime available at request / availability.

Requirements:

• Must be over 18 years of age
• Hold your PCV licence (if you don't, please apply to the Trainee role and we can give you all the paid training you need)
• No more than 6 points on your licence

• Flexibility to work shifts
