Job summary

Arriva UK Bus Ltd invites qualified PCV Bus Drivers to join our Chester Depot, connecting communities and ensuring safe, reliable transport.

You will drive routes with a strong emphasis on customer service, and participate in rotating shifts with training and progression opportunities within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid PCV Licence (non-negotiable).
• At least 12 months driving experience.
• No more than 6 points on licence.
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol tests.
• Excellent customer service and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive PCV bus to transport customers safely and efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist passengers.
• Work rotating shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.
• Adhere to health, safety and company policies.

Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour (increasing to £15:80 per hour after approximately 3 weeks training)

As a Bus Driver, you’ll build relationships with familiar faces, brighten someone’s day, and provide excellent service while working alongside a supportive and passionate team. What We Offer:

• Monday to Saturday: £13.45/hr (rising to £15.80 after approximately 3 weeks)
• Sunday: £22.00/hr
• Bank Holidays: £22.50/hr
• Overtime: Flat rate

Hours of Work:

• 5 out of 7 rotating shift patterns, planned up to 6-8 weeks in advance
• Mornings starting from 04:00, Afternoons starting from 12:00, Evenings from 18:00
• Overtime available based on request/availability
• We cannot offer fixed early, afternoon, or evening shifts separately

What We Need From You:

• MUST have a valid PCV Licence – This is a non-negotiable requirement
• If you don’t have a PCV licence yet, apply for our Trainee role, and we’ll provide paid training to help you get qualified!
• At least 12 months of driving experience

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
