Job description

We are looking to expand our team by employing Salaried General Practitioners to work alongside our practices and PCN staff across North Shropshire. We are looking to appoint 2 Salaried GPs to cover the East and West of North Shropshire to support our practices on a day-to-day basis, along with enhanced access and support of projects as they develop within the PCN.

Main duties of the job

Purpose of the Role

To perform as an autonomous general practitioner working independently and with other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat patients in a primary care setting. Provide expert advice to patients, carers, and colleagues, ensuring clinical excellence. Involve in education and training for GP Registrars and staff. Be professionally accountable and responsible for all clinical practice elements, ensuring patient safety and quality of care in accordance with the GMC code of conduct.

Job responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Qualified GP with MRCGP, Vocational Training Certificate, or equivalent JCPTGP; CCT or equivalent; Full GMC registration; Eligibility for the National Performers List (England); Appropriate indemnity insurance (MPS/MDU); Evidence of recent appraisal; Eligibility to practice independently in the UK.
  • Experience in primary care, including QOF, clinical audits, medicines management, and ICB initiatives; ongoing professional development.
