Job description

The successful recruit will have a verydiverse role, BWM PCN has approximately 20 members of staff and a PCN Managerwould be responsible for HR, running of the PCN and finances. BWM also has control of its own ExtendedHours contract, running clinics on a Saturday and Sunday in Bramley. The successful recruit will work closely withthe PCN Clinical Director at a high level within all these areas and will inparticular retain overall responsibility for the operational function of thePCN. This role will suit someone who hasexperience of primary care management and operations, especially if they haveworked in a primary care network setting previously.

Main duties of the job

Beresponsible for the delivery and having operational oversight of projects andservices committed to, or commissioned by, the PCN. Providestrong financial leadership, resourcing and regulatory compliance of the workof the PCN. Workin partnership with the PCN Clinical Director to ensure the smooth running ofthe Network. Havethe vision and ability to lead and adapt to NHS targets and change tomaintain an efficient, profitable organisation and develop a happy,productive working environment. Developand maintain effective communication both within the network and with otherrelevant outside agencies. Co-ordinatethe delivery of enhanced services and other service submissions on behalf ofthe Network.Supportrecruitment, induction, and training of new PCN staff (ARRS) where required.Linemanage PCN employed staff.You will haveresponsibility for dealing with operational complaints / significant events,working alongside our practices as necessaryYou will manage the day-to-day HR functionwithin the organisation (such as probation meetings, appraisals etc).Monthly payroll includingpensions and other finance requirements as needed.Work closely withPractice Managers to support planning and delivery of targets and improvements. Applyingfor PCN development funds and resources to help the network achieve itsobjectives.To be first point of contact between member practices and PCN.

Person Specification
Qualifications
  • Educated to GCSE or equivalent (GCSE Maths & English C or above)
  • Management / leadership experience
  • Understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Knowledge of IT systems to include the ability to use word processing skills, emails and internet
  • An understanding of the nature of general practice and Primary Care Networks
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships whilst maintaining appropriate professional boundaries
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels inc. patients and carers, specialist services, GPs and colleagues.
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate complex and sensitive information in an understandable form to a variety of audiences
  • Experience of partnership/collaborative working and of building relationships across a variety of organisations including the voluntary sector
  • Experience of using SystmOne clinical system
  • Good technical literacy of Microsoft Applications e.g. Word, Excel, and Access etc.
  • Finance / payroll experience
  • HR experience, including having difficult conversations
  • Demonstrable commitment to professional and personal development
