Summary

VES is seeking a PCE Applications Engineer to join our team in Aberdeen. The Applications Engineer (AP) will provide technical support to customers, sales, and engineering departments.

Responsibilities include overseeing the technical performance of assigned products, analyzing customer complaints, and identifying opportunities for product improvement.

The role involves preparing technical reports for sales and management, conducting pre- and post-job analyses, contributing to product design evolution based on customer needs, and developing test plans for new products or materials.

The engineer will stay informed about competitor products and drilling technology, maintain close communication with operator technical teams, and assist in providing technical solutions aligned with customer projects.

Additional duties include preparing technical presentations, supporting sales in product selection, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining technical databases and reports.

Analyzing performance reports, providing recommendations for future drilling parameters, and managing the NCR process are also part of the role.

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to analyze requirements and propose solutions using the PCE product portfolio.
• Effective communication across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience with simulation reports related to centralizers, stand-off, Torque & Drag.

Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.

Work Experience: Over 5 years as an applications engineer in well construction, with 1-2 years of field experience.
